It seems that I am always seeing these super cool cone-shaped trees made of various things at the holidays…burlap, sticks, ornaments, glitter, and so much more. I thought, why not make one out of cork circles!
Here’s what you need:
Styrofoam cone (I used a 24″ one), thin cork, circle punch (mine is a 2.5″), straight pins, and glitter glue.
What to do:
- Cut circles from cork and add a thin line of glitter glue around 1/2 the circle.
- Run a 1″ piece of cork around the base of the cone. This will give the appearance that the cone is made of cork.
- Begin to attach circles to cone with straight pins slightly overlapping as needed.
- Continue to work up the cone until finished!
This looks great on a mantle, next to the fireplace or even on a buffet or table.
It is perfect below next to our JOY Marquee from Day 9.
